Anyfile is in beta, so a few things may not work perfectly yet. Tell us what you find
Tar archive
You can open, view and edit TAR files for free right here in your browser, without Archive Utility on Mac and without uploading anything. A Unix format from 1979, first made for tape backups. It joins files into one stream and keeps permissions and folder structure, but does not compress on its own.
Files are converted in your browser and never uploaded. By using Anyfile you agree to the Terms of Use.
