You can open, view and edit GZ files for free right here in your browser, without gunzip and without uploading anything. A single file compressed with gzip, the GNU tool written by Jean-loup Gailly and Mark Adler in 1992. It uses Deflate and holds exactly one file, often a log or a tar archive.

Untouched files are copied exactly; save as ZIP, 7z, .tar.gz, .tar.xz or .tar. A .tar.gz opens as the archive inside it; any other .gz shows the one file it holds, by its stored name.
