What changes from XLTM to TSV

FormulasSaved as their results: TSV holds values only
FormattingLeft out
SheetsOne TSV per sheet; several come in a ZIP

When to use TSV: Copying tables between apps and exporting data from databases and research tools.

Options

Open the file in the spreadsheet editor to choose before downloading:

  • Just the sheet you’re on, or every sheet

The two formats

.xltm

Excel template with macros

A macro-enabled Excel template. Each workbook made from it inherits the template’s sheets and its VBA code, so automated buttons and routines come along.

Company forms and report starters that need the same macros in every copy.

Opens in Excel for Windows and Mac, LibreOffice Calc (macros may not run)

About XLTM files

.tsv

TSV fileTab-Separated Values

A plain-text table where tabs, not commas, divide the columns. Because commas inside values need no quoting, it suits text-heavy data such as addresses or descriptions.

Copying tables between apps and exporting data from databases and research tools.

Opens in Google Sheets, Excel, LibreOffice Calc, Numbers and text editors

Questions

How do I convert XLTM to TSV?

Drop your XLTM file on this page, or choose it. Anyfile converts it on your device in a moment and the TSV downloads straight away. To change it first, open it in the spreadsheet editor.

Is my XLTM file uploaded anywhere?

No. The file is read and converted by your own browser, and nothing is sent to a server. You can check: open your browser’s developer tools, go to Network, and convert a file. No upload appears.

What happens to the other sheets?

Every sheet becomes its own TSV, together in a ZIP.

Can I convert several XLTM files at once?

Yes. Drop them together and you get one ZIP with every TSV inside.
