You can open, view and edit VSDX files for free right here in your browser, without Microsoft Visio and without uploading anything. Microsoft Visio’s file since Visio 2013, a ZIP of XML parts that replaced the binary .vsd. It holds pages, shapes, connectors and the data linked to them.

Select, move, resize and edit labels in place; draw boxes, rounded boxes, ovals, decisions and text; connect shapes with arrows that follow them; fill, outline, text and arrow styles; align, space evenly and stack; copy, paste and duplicate. Save as it was, or as draw.io, Excalidraw, SVG or PNG. Shapes are drawn from their saved geometry (masters, groups, arcs, curves) with their fill, line, text and rotation; saving changes only the pages, keeping masters and themes. Connectors are redrawn as lines between their ends when shapes move; pages can’t be added yet.
