You can open, view and edit DAE files for free right here in your browser, without SketchUp and without uploading anything. An XML 3D interchange format created by Sony Computer Entertainment and now maintained by the Khronos Group. It holds geometry, materials, effects, skeletons and animation.

Orbit around it on a floor grid; pick a part, move, turn and size it with handles or exact sizes, lay a face on the floor, mirror, recolour and change its finish, edit its texture in Images, add shapes, duplicate, hide and delete; repair and simplify meshes; check it will print (closed, its volume and weight). Save as GLB, glTF, OBJ, STL, 3MF, PLY, COLLADA, USDZ for AR on iPhone, or a picture. Opens its scene, materials and animations; textures in separate picture files can’t come along. Saved by Anyfile’s own COLLADA writer with colours, y up, in metres.
