Free converter
Anyfile converts a Matroska audio to an Opus audio for free, right in your browser: the file is never uploaded.
Files are converted in your browser and never uploaded. By using Anyfile you agree to the Terms of Use.
| Sound quality | Encoded at 128 kbps, which most people can’t tell from the original |
|---|---|
| Tags and cover art | Title, artist, album and cover carried over where OPUS holds them; lyrics and some rarer tags aren’t yet |
| File size | Usually smaller: OPUS compresses more tightly than MKA |
When to use OPUS: Voice calls, voice notes and streaming, where low delay and small size matter.
.mka
The audio-only form of the Matroska container. One .mka file can hold several audio tracks in almost any codec, plus chapters, tags and cover art.
Albums with chapters, alternative audio tracks and sound split from MKV films.
Opens in VLC, mpv, foobar2000, MPC-HC
About MKA files.opus

Voice calls, voice notes and streaming, where low delay and small size matter.
Opens in Chrome, Firefox, Edge, VLC, Audacity

Need to change it first? Open the audio editor
Drop your MKA file on this page, or choose it. Anyfile converts it on your device in a moment and the OPUS downloads straight away. To change it first, open it in the audio editor.
No. The file is read and converted by your own browser, and nothing is sent to a server. You can check: open your browser’s developer tools, go to Network, and convert a file. No upload appears.
OPUS is a compressed format, and Anyfile saves at high quality, so the difference is very hard to notice.
Yes. Drop them together and you get one ZIP with every OPUS inside.
